Addressing Climate Anxiety recording coming soon!

We acknowledge that this event is taking place on the traditional unceded territory of the Lheidli T'enneh. The name “Lheidli” means “The People from the Confluence of the River” in the Carrier language, referring to where the Nechako River meets the Fraser River and their traditional territory. The Lheidli T’enneh have been stewards of this Land since time immemorial, living alongside all of the more than human beings in reciprocity, and they continue to do so today. In discussing climate and justice, we recognize that climate change will disproportionally affect Indigenous peoples and the need for us to do our part in establishing relationships in reconciliation, bringing justice to these communities through implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and taking action towards the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 calls to action.
